Our MRes in Molecular Mechanistic Toxicology offers a research-focused expansion of molecular biology into the field of toxicology mechanisms. The internationally renowned School of Biosciences serves as a leading hub for toxicology research, delivering a dynamic, research-driven learning atmosphere. This program equips students with specialized training in applying molecular and cellular biology to comprehend chemical toxicity at microscopic levels. You'll engage in a vibrant, collaborative academic setting.

A key growth area in toxicology involves utilizing molecular biology, cellular studies, and omics technologies to pinpoint adverse outcome pathways (AOPs) and decipher toxicity mechanisms at fundamental levels. This pursuit holds both scientific significance (revealing action mechanisms) and practical value, addressing the growing demand for mechanistic approaches in chemical risk evaluation and high-throughput toxicity screening development.

This full-time, one-year MRes program delivers intensive research training within an energetic, interactive academic community focused on molecular mechanistic toxicology.
