The Chemistry Department's research encompasses every subfield, ranging from theoretical physical chemistry to biological chemistry and antibody development. Our work focuses on five key areas: analytical methods, health applications, surface interactions, material science, and chemical transformations. We periodically update our programs based on factors like student input, advancements in research and academic fields, and accreditation standards. Any substantial modifications to published programs will be communicated to students as outlined in our official policies. Our PhD programs cover the four fundamental branches of chemistry: inorganic, organic, physical, and computational chemistry. Although students are affiliated with one primary division, the nature of research within our department encourages cross-disciplinary collaboration.
