The program is organized into three interconnected phases, guiding you toward doctoral attainment by progressing through professional benchmarks. Key milestones include: MSc - covering foundational training essential for therapist certification. Our dynamic, modern curriculum employs a pluralistic framework to foster innovative teamwork and client-centered care through a social equity perspective. You'll explore various therapeutic techniques for diverse populations while cultivating ethical awareness and professional growth as a reflective practitioner. Learn from distinguished scholars in pluralistic methods within an engaged, welcoming practitioner network that encourages multifaceted dialogue. You'll conduct supervised client sessions employing advanced pluralistic counseling methodologies. Our faculty will guide you in developing your therapeutic philosophy grounded in pluralistic values. We prioritize research-informed practice, with an initial project in year 2 (full-time) or year 3 (part-time) preceding doctoral research from year 3 (full-time) or year 5 (part-time). Doctoral completion requires minimum 450 client practice hours. During the MSc phase, you'll complete 100 voluntary hours through the Bounds clinic or approved providers. After these initial hours and professional registration, you'll undertake 350 additional paid/voluntary hours at your chosen organization during MPhil and DCouns stages.
