Potential research topics in this field encompass: Legal technology advancements and informatics, Intellectual property legislation, Non-traditional trademarks, Pharmaceutical patents and accessibility, Digital privacy safeguards, Online governance frameworks, and the intersection of intellectual property with human rights. Founded in 2016 through partnerships with major industry players, the Legal Innovation Centre represents a groundbreaking partnership between Ulster University's School of Law and School of Computing and Intelligent Systems, dedicated to fostering innovation in legal services and enhancing justice accessibility.

Qualification Requirements
Applicants should hold, or expect to obtain, a First or Upper Second Class Honours Degree in a subject relevant to the proposed area of study. We may also consider applications from those who hold equivalent qualifications, for example, a Lower Second Class Honours Degree plus a Master's Degree with Distinction.
In exceptional circumstances, the University may consider a portfolio of evidence from applicants who have appropriate professional experience which is equivalent to the learning outcomes of an Honours degree in lieu of academic qualifications.
IELTS 6.0 with no band score less than 5.5., TOEFL iBT - 80 with a minimum L - 17 R - 18 S - 20 W - 17, PTE Academic - 55 (with min. of 51 in each part)
