Our Law PhD program offers the opportunity to conduct advanced legal research under the guidance of our globally recognized, dedicated faculty. You'll receive personalized supervision from two academic advisors while participating in a comprehensive research training curriculum that equips you with essential skills for designing and executing a thorough doctoral study. The program includes regular opportunities to present your work at the School of Law's research seminars and the Faculty's annual postgraduate conference, facilitating valuable discussions with peers and faculty members across disciplines. We actively mentor students in preparing and submitting scholarly articles to academic journals and conferences, helping refine research methodologies and academic writing abilities. Graduates emerge as independent researchers, well-prepared for diverse career paths in academia, international organizations, government, legal practice (for qualified professionals), and consulting. The School welcomes PhD proposals across all fundamental legal disciplines, with particular interest in faculty specialties such as financial law, corporate governance, labor law, environmental regulations, evidentiary procedures, intellectual property, digital law, and legal education methodologies. With a strong emphasis on advancing social justice, we especially encourage research proposals that align with this important mission.
