The Post Graduate Diploma in Specialist Nursing (with specialized tracks) is designed to equip nurses for advanced leadership positions within their chosen nursing specialty. Various pathways are available to accommodate diverse nursing professionals, such as District Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Learning Disability Nursing, and Community Children's Nursing. The comprehensive Adult Nursing specializations encompass Adult Nurse (previously known as Nurse Practitioner), Palliative Care, Stroke Care, Diabetes Care, and Emergency Care.
This program results in multiple certifications. Graduates receive a degree from Ulster University along with a professional accreditation from the UK Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Those pursuing District Nursing additionally qualify for Nurse Prescribing certification.

Satisfy the University's general entry requirements, and
Hold a degree in Nursing or equivalent
or demonstrate their ability to undertake the course through the accreditation of prior experiential learning (APEL).
Hold current registration with the NMC and have completed a period of experience as a registered nurse to have consolidated pre-registration outcomes.
Have the support of an employer for 75 days Practice Learning and the name of an appropriately qualified Supervisor and Assessor in the Practice Learning setting.
Have competency in written and spoken English (IELTS 7.0).
Applicants for the District Nursing Pathway(+ Self -funded students) are required to complete Access NI Checks.
The minimum requirement for this course is Academic IELTS 7.0 with no element below 7.0.
TOEFL iBT - 100 with a minimum L 22, R 24, S - 25, W 24, PTE Academic - 66 (with min. of 61 in each part)
