This two-year program addresses today's healthcare challenges and the intricate healthcare landscape, where evolving technologies, modern research, and emerging knowledge shape nursing practices.
The course targets individuals holding an undergraduate degree with experience in health or social care. Eligible prior degrees span health-related fields, psychology, criminology, sociology, and others. Applicants without health-related degrees must show substantial clinical or social care experience. Current nurses seeking dual qualification may also apply. Specific experience requirements are detailed in the entry requirements section of this webpage.
The program balances 50% clinical placements with 50% academic study. Academic work combines 95% online learning with 5% in-person sessions, offering flexibility to study remotely across the UK. Clinical placements include 20% simulation-based learning, also accessible from any UK location with adequate internet access. Note: The Nursing and Midwifery Council mandates UK residency throughout both theoretical and practical course components.
