This program is tailored for students aiming to specialize in sport and exercise psychology, offering professional training, practical psychological skills, critical thinking development, and research opportunities within a science-practice framework. Developed in response to the growing professionalization of the field, British Psychological Society (BPS) accreditation standards, and Ireland's need for university-level education in this discipline, this MSc equips graduates with ethical and professional intervention competencies. Students will gain foundational knowledge in sport and exercise psychology theories, key themes, practical skills, and current issues. Three core themes—1. theory-to-practice integration 2. individual-focused content 3. stability versus change—are woven throughout all modules. These themes function as conceptual frameworks to enhance critical analysis and application. This thematic structure embodies the program's philosophical foundation, influencing teaching methods, learning outcomes, and evaluation approaches. Graduates will develop professional consulting abilities, advanced research expertise, personal competencies, and insights into high-performance environments.
