Specifically tailored for professionals and enthusiasts in electrical power engineering, including renewable energy systems, the curriculum features five specialized 20-credit modules. The program focuses on expanding students' understanding of concepts covered in their undergraduate electrical engineering studies. Structured around two specialized tracks and one forward-looking component, the course covers electrical power networks (including Smart Grids, Microgrids, and Future Energy Demand) and power electronics applications (featuring Renewable Energy Generation, Power Conversion for Energy Systems, and Microgrids). You must have a second class (2.2) honours degree (or higher). We consider a wide range of first degree subjects including automation and control engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, electrical engineering, electrical systems, electronic engineering, electronic systems, instrumentation/control engineering, mechatronics, and robotics.
Students with a degree awarded outside the UK must also meet the University's minimum English language requirements.
