Our MRes program in Bioscience provides specialized research training within our internationally renowned research teams. The initial term focuses on advanced postgraduate-level skills development, including assistance with selecting and refining research projects. In late January, students begin their nine-month research phase. The structured coursework during the first semester enhances students' writing abilities, analytical methods, and critical thinking at a postgraduate standard. Participants also choose two supplementary modules aligned with their research focus (such as GIS, biodiversity and health ecology, endangered species conservation, or biodiversity evaluation). Following module completion, students undertake an independent research project with departmental supervision. The program requires students to complete a thesis meeting publication standards, with many MRes projects achieving publication after degree conferral.
