The Master of Science in Agroecology, Water and Food Sovereignty is an interdisciplinary graduate program focused on creating environmentally sound and equitable food production systems.
This MSc program takes a cross-disciplinary approach to tackle the critical issue of developing sustainable and fair agricultural and food systems.
Centered on agroecology, food sovereignty, and alternative agricultural methods, this program provides comprehensive knowledge about major challenges facing modern food systems and the necessary solutions. The curriculum:
Addresses diverse, interconnected subjects crucial to contemporary agriculture, such as agroecological practices, climate change effects on farming, gender dynamics in food systems, community adaptability, agricultural ecosystems, power structures in food governance, farming in vulnerable regions, Indigenous agricultural knowledge, water management, and beyond. Examines real-world applications across various scales and cultural settings, from local to international perspectives.
