Genetics is a dynamic and rapidly advancing discipline that significantly influences various scientific domains, from disease research and drug development to evolutionary biology and biodiversity preservation.
Our Genetics program provides comprehensive insights into these fundamental components of life. A-levels/Welsh Baccalaureate: AAB-BBB. Biology essential, plus at least one other science (usually Chemistry)
IB: 32-34 to include Higher Level grades in Biology, plus at least one other science (usually Chemistry)
BTEC: Typically Distinction to Double Distinction plus A Level Grade B in Biology
As well as one of the above qualification types all applicants are required:
GCSE: English and Maths minimum Grade C Wales (England Pre-2017) or Grade 4 (England Post-2017)
We accept Swansea University approved equivalent qualifications.
For applicants whose first language is not English we require a minimum overall IELTS score of 6.0 (or equivalent) and no less than 5.5 in each component. TOEFL (IBT) - 79,
