Applied Linguistics is a rapidly growing and impactful field. This pioneering undergraduate program prepares students to analyze language across various critical settings such as healthcare interactions, artificial intelligence applications, educational transformation, policy development related to language, forensic linguistics, communication disorder assessment, digital media discourse, and multilingual environments.
Participants will analyze English phonetics and grammar, explore cognitive mechanisms behind language use, and study the motivations and consequences of linguistic choices. The curriculum incorporates hands-on collaboration with professionals and organizations, allowing students to specialize in specific areas through focused research. As language represents a multifaceted system, students will employ statistical, computational, and scientific approaches to examine linguistic data, extracting crucial insights for tackling real-world issues.
