The Master of Arts in Iranian Studies equips students to analyze the evolution of Iranian society, economy, and culture through a critical lens, situating these developments within the broader West Asian context. This interdisciplinary program offers flexible study options to deepen understanding of the religious and socio-political forces shaping modern Iran and its surrounding region. Participants will cultivate analytical skills to examine Iranian literature and diaspora communities while exploring Iran's Middle Eastern connections through diverse lenses including gender studies, political science, Islamic studies, musical traditions, and migration patterns (available as elective modules). The curriculum includes rigorous Persian language and literary studies, with significant credit allocation to linguistic proficiency. The degree features mandatory international study components and culminates in a specialized research dissertation.
