The Bachelor of Science in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics (PPE) program provides students with the chance to explore three interconnected fields vital for comprehending, evaluating, and influencing modern society: Politics, Philosophy, and Economics.
At SOAS, we approach these subjects through a non-Western lens, giving our graduates a distinctive international perspective highly sought after by employers. Your first year will cover foundational concepts, key discussions, and methodologies across all three disciplines, with a regional emphasis on Asia, Africa, and the Middle East.
A specialized core module bridges these disciplines together while cultivating practical applications. This cross-disciplinary and area-focused methodology continues throughout the program, allowing for deeper specialization in each subject area and the option to learn one of the many languages available at SOAS.
Graduating with a PPE degree from SOAS prepares you for diverse career paths in both public and private sectors worldwide, including opportunities in policy development, government agencies, NGOs, international relations, data analytics, risk assessment, and financial services.
