Chester's Politics program delves beyond media narratives to examine the fundamental political questions of history and current affairs, challenging you to consider societal frameworks and their influence on us.

Our Politics degree combines theory with practical application, focusing on governance, power dynamics, and conflict resolution while analyzing state functions, governmental systems, and political organizations. At Chester, you'll critically engage with contemporary political concepts, processes, and structures both nationally and internationally.
Our experienced faculty shares extensive expertise. We frequently host guest speakers for specialized sessions and, when possible, organize visits to political venues and meetings with regional representatives and council members.

The program extends learning beyond conventional settings through diverse field experiences, including past excursions to the European Parliament in Brussels. We've also coordinated practical initiatives like voter registration campaigns.
