Instagram has shaped new visual trends, LinkedIn has transformed professional networking, and Twitter has revolutionized political discourse. The creative sector stands as the UK's most rapidly expanding economic area, generating £71.4 billion annually and accounting for 5.6% of the workforce (Department of Culture, Media & Sport, 2014). Digital media emerges as the fastest-growing segment within this industry, presenting abundant opportunities.

This three-year BSc program, developed through a distinctive partnership between the Media Arts and Computer Science departments, provides comprehensive exposure to digital media's cultural and technological dimensions. During years 2 and 3, you'll focus on creative and cultural aspects through elective modules. The degree prepares you for pioneering careers in this dynamic field, combining critical thinking with creative media production skills and technical understanding. The flexible modular structure allows you to customize your learning path.

Our approach goes beyond superficial social media analysis - we build foundational knowledge from the ground up. You'll learn to leverage digital media ecosystems and experiment with cutting-edge social platforms. This innovative program brings together Media Arts and Computer Science experts, offering instruction in coding, design, and data analytics - the core technical components of modern digital communication.
