This program allows you to pursue Modern Languages (75% of your studies) alongside History of Art and Visual Culture (25%), including a year abroad during your third year.
As a Modern Languages joint honors student, you'll achieve fluency in your chosen language - French, German, Italian, or Spanish. Whether beginning at introductory, advanced, or native levels, you'll master essential language skills in writing, reading, speaking, and comprehension, with all instruction led by native-speaking educators.
The remaining portion of your language studies will explore the literature, arts, culture, and history of your chosen language region. Topics range from 17th-century French drama to depictions of youth in German culture, from Italian design innovations to visual arts across Spanish-speaking countries. You'll cultivate exceptional communication and research abilities while combining language mastery with intercultural understanding.
