For those aiming to achieve fluency in one to three contemporary languages, our BA Modern Languages program is the perfect choice. You'll blend language learning with translation and cultural studies in proportions that align with your personal goals. Select from French, German, Italian, or Spanish at beginner, advanced, or native proficiency levels, while enhancing your writing, reading, speaking, and listening abilities. Native-speaking instructors will lead you through essential language components for each selected language.
The rest of your curriculum allows you to delve into the literature, arts, culture, and history of your chosen language regions—from 17th-century French drama to portrayals of youth in German society, and from Italian design aesthetics to visual arts throughout Spanish-speaking countries. As a modern language student, you'll cultivate outstanding communication and research capabilities, merging multilingual competence with intercultural understanding.
