Our Finnish and Hebrew degree program provides extensive opportunities to cultivate comprehensive, comparative, and cross-cultural perspectives in the humanities. Students can select from diverse course offerings spanning literature, linguistic studies, history, sociology, philosophy, visual arts, cinema, and other cultural aspects tied to their language studies. During the first, second, and final years, participants will enroll in language courses for their selected tongues alongside related cultural studies. Additionally, they may choose interdisciplinary modules from the School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) covering literature, film studies, linguistics, and historical analysis.
The third year involves studying abroad, divided between two nations where the target languages are spoken. Students attain equivalent language proficiency regardless of whether they begin as novices or enter with prior knowledge of the language.
