The Queen's Postgraduate Diploma in Philosophy stands out by merging comprehensive philosophical studies with a focus on diversity, inclusion, and contemporary social challenges. Participants can also pursue the Queen's Certificate in Strategic Leadership as an additional qualification.
This pluralist PGDip program celebrates varied philosophical traditions, methodologies, and academic perspectives while ensuring students develop expertise in fundamental philosophical domains. The curriculum mirrors the breadth of an MA program, enriched by inclusive historical perspectives and active participation in modern philosophical discourse. Learners will examine both classical and current philosophical discussions, tackle theoretical and practical challenges, and address both foundational and real-world questions.
Philosophy PGDip candidates can tailor their studies through the Individually Negotiated Topic component. Under faculty supervision, students select specialized subjects for intensive study within small, dedicated discussion groups. The program also offers extensive cross-disciplinary options across the School and AHSS Faculty, complemented by Queen's outstanding postgraduate resources. The Strategic Leadership Certificate remains an optional enhancement to the degree.
