Tales whisk us away to bygone eras, carry us to distant lands, and open doors to imagined worlds. Simultaneously, their core themes connect deeply with crucial historical, political, cinematic, and gender-related topics.

Learn at an institution neighboring leading film studios, post-production facilities, and the prized collections of the BFI. You'll gain access to boundless archives, museums, performance venues, and theaters to expand your literary horizons. This interdisciplinary approach involves deconstructing established works while crafting fresh narratives for visual media. You could analyze colonial legacies one moment, then debate the significance of youth literature the next - all while exploring the evolution and principles of filmic expression.
