Approximately 25% of individuals pursue professional help for mental health concerns, creating significant demand for psychological therapies and treatments. This program is designed for those aiming to advance their careers in psychological therapy or mental health by enhancing their knowledge, practical abilities, hands-on experience, and confidence when applying for competitive positions like Assistant Psychologist or Clinical Psychology Research Assistant.
The curriculum equips students with academic, practical, and research competencies necessary for progressing into specialized training areas such as clinical psychology, counseling psychology, psychotherapy, clinical research, and healthcare administration.
Participants will explore various psychological therapy methods and receive guidance to develop therapeutic communication and intervention techniques through both workshop training and practical work placements.
As a core component of this Master's program, students will develop the expertise to critically evaluate therapeutic psychology research and conduct their own studies on topics relevant to psychological treatments. Instruction is provided by practicing therapists and mental health researchers specializing in psychological wellbeing and trauma.
