The School of Psychology boasts a vibrant research environment, building on its established legacy of both theoretical and practical studies. Our research combines specialized knowledge from diverse psychological fields including experimental, developmental, health, clinical, and social psychology.
Ongoing research focuses on six key areas: cognitive processes and neuroscience, child development studies, substance use and addiction research, health behavior promotion, psychological aspects of societal transformation, and educational psychology. The most sought-after program remains the PhD through MPhil pathway. Earning a PhD represents a novel and significant advancement in your chosen discipline, frequently serving as a prerequisite for academic or research-oriented positions across various industries. Doctoral studies are available across all our subject domains.
Each postgraduate research candidate receives guidance from a minimum of two actively publishing faculty members. These supervisors will provide consistent mentorship through scheduled consultations and progress evaluations.

Bachelor's degree with minimum Upper Second Class (2:1) or equivalent in a related subject from a recognised institution.
We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications.
