Your research supervision will be overseen by a Director of Studies along with at least one additional supervisor from the University. In many cases, an external supervisor also participates in this process.
Your supervisory team serves as academic mentors, assisting you in refining your research goals, organizing your study approach, and building additional competencies. They provide recommendations for subject-specific literature, appropriate coursework, and valuable research seminars and workshops.
Continuous academic support is provided regardless of whether you're pursuing independent research or collaborating within a group. The program includes scheduled research tutorials, seminars, and opportunities to engage with fellow researchers, faculty members, and visiting experts.

For doctoral research applicants are expected to have at least one of the following
An undergraduate degree usually with class 2-1 or equivalent in a relevant subject
A relevant masters qualification or equivalent evidence of prior professional practice or learning that meets the higher education providers criteria and guidelines for the recognition of prior learning for the purpose of meeting entry requirements for a programme including for example the required amount of prior publications or other output specified for applicants for the award of PhD by published work
PhD
If youd like to enrol for our PhD course youll first need to enrol for the MPhil and then transfer to a PhD once youve made enough progress with your research typically after 18-24 months
You must have competence in English language to study with us. The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.5 with minimum 6.0 in all components
TOEFL IBT - 87 with at least 21 in listening and writing, 22 in speaking and 23 in reading.
