The BA (Hons) Interior Design program focuses on spatial occupation, examining how spaces are utilized and, crucially, how they're perceived. We encourage the analysis and transformation of existing environments to craft purposeful modifications.
This program treats interior design as a specialized, disciplined profession. By implementing architectural and design solutions, we participate in cooperative and inventive projects that improve how people interact with their surroundings. These principles can be implemented on both architectural scales and in the meticulous crafting of objects, surfaces, and materials.
Current industry professionals, including designers and architects, deliver the fundamental components of the curriculum, covering all facets of interior design such as spatial architecture, exhibition planning, stage/set creation, and object/element conception.
The program champions the integration of this philosophy as an imaginative, methodical, and thoughtful practice. We prioritize conceptual thinking, innovation, and practical implementation when developing fresh, sometimes unconventional interior concepts. Our work spans immersive, exploratory, or utilitarian environments. We mold spaces, establish identities, challenge conventional layouts, refine objects, and design or select materials and furnishings.
At its core, our work centers on human engagement with spatial environments in all our projects.
