Our combined History and International Relations program offers a balanced dual-subject honors degree, providing comprehensive study in both disciplines.

When you enroll in our BA (Hons) History and International Relations program, you'll develop diverse skills while having opportunities to focus on specific areas as you advance through your studies.

The history curriculum covers from 1600 to contemporary times, primarily concentrating on modern history. It examines British and European contexts while also exploring global perspectives including North America, the British Empire, Soviet Russia, South Asia, and China. The program starts with introductory surveys, progresses to national and thematic histories, and concludes with specialized research topics.

The International Relations portion helps students analyze how major global actors have addressed political, economic, and social issues in the post-WWII international landscape.
