The BSc (Hons) Midwifery program seeks to: Train future midwives to fulfill the Nursing and Midwifery Council's (NMC 2019) proficiency standards and qualify for NMC registration. Prepare midwives to serve as leaders and catalysts for change, understanding the importance of innovation, research-based evidence, and personalized care in advancing maternity services. Foster teamwork between patients, healthcare professionals, and organizations in modern midwifery practice. Equip midwives to identify their capabilities and take charge of their professional growth.

This newly NMC-accredited program is developed collaboratively with healthcare partners, students, patients, and stakeholders, aligning with NMC guidelines and Lancet recommendations to deliver exceptional maternity care and education.

Participants will gain experience assisting women and families throughout pregnancy and childbirth, including high-risk cases. You'll refine clinical skills through hands-on training across diverse maternity care environments.
