In the MSc by Research program, you'll complete a nine-month research project followed by three months dedicated to writing your dissertation.
Throughout your research year, we'll provide training in designing, executing, analyzing, and documenting a medical sciences research project. Your supervisor will be selected from our faculty members, and depending on your project, may include collaborators from nearby NHS trusts.
This program will teach you to: design and execute original research, critically assess literature, enhance problem-solving abilities, analyze research data, effectively communicate findings, understand academic conventions in your field, and uphold research ethics and intellectual honesty.

Qualification Requirements
2:1 Hons degree (UK or equivalent) in a relevant subject. Undergraduate medical students intercalating between 4th and 5th years of study require a top quartile outcome in MBChB finals. We normally require an IELTS (Academic) Test with an overall score of at least 6.5, and a minimum of 5.5 in each element of the test. ToEFL IBT or ToEFL IBT Home Edition with an overall score of at least 87, with a minimum of 19 in reading, 17 in listening, 17 in speaking and 20 in writing
