This program offers insights into both philosophical traditions and modern debates, delivered through a collaboration between our Departments of Politics, Philosophy, Religion, and Linguistics and English Language.
Your initial year covers foundational courses in both Linguistics and Philosophy. During subsequent years, you'll explore subjects like Global Language Structures, Phonetics Across Cultures, Cognitive Approaches to Language, and Advanced Phonological Studies. The philosophy curriculum includes diverse options such as European Philosophical Traditions, Analytical Reasoning, Philosophy of Art, and Ethics. Linguistics specialization continues with electives like Psychological Aspects of Language, Sociolinguistic Identity Studies, and Language-Thought-Culture Connections.
An optional dissertation allows focused research on a chosen topic, guided by faculty experts in your selected field.
Graduates develop valuable competencies in critical analysis, argument evaluation, and problem-solving - skills highly sought after in legal practices, business consulting, and communications sectors. Multinational employers particularly value the cross-cultural linguistic expertise gained through this program.
