Behavioral decision science uses psychological principles to understand the processes, timing, and motivations behind human choices.
Hosted by the Psychology Department, this program investigates theoretical frameworks and empirical studies in behavioral decision science, while demonstrating how psychology, behavioral studies, and behavioral economics inform policy development, interventions, and behavioral modifications across domains including healthcare, economics, environmental sustainability, and market trends.
The curriculum focuses on implementing psychological insights, behavioral research, and economic behavior theories to shape policies, initiatives, and behavioral adjustments in sectors ranging from public health and financial systems to environmental conservation, athletics, political strategies, and commercial activities.
Students will establish a strong foundation in cognitive science principles and judgment processes, examining studies pertinent to choice behavior, quality of life, and governance strategies.
