King's College has significant expertise in palaeography, the analysis of historical handwriting, and recently established a new professorship in Palaeography & Manuscript Studies within its History Department. Instruction in palaeography is available across most disciplines in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, with prospective researchers advised to contact their specific department. Scholars currently focus on diverse fields including Classics, Byzantine & Modern Greek Studies, English, French, History (particularly medieval studies), Spanish, and Digital Humanities.
All students for MPhil/PhD entry will be expected to have a Master's degree.
IELTS (Academic): 7.0 overall with a minimum of 6.5 in reading & writing and 6.0 in listening & speaking. TOEFL iBT: 100 overall with a minimum of 25 in writing, 23 in reading and 20 in each of the other skills.
