The School of Education, Communication & Society invites applications for its PhD in Education Research program. This MPhil/PhD opportunity allows students to conduct publishable research that advances knowledge in their chosen field. The School offers comprehensive research training and supervision across diverse areas, including: teaching methods and evaluation; educational leadership; institutional development; tertiary education; learner and educator identities; non-formal and workplace education; equity and justice issues; professional competencies; and evolving professional practices and policies.Our approach emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration and critical analysis, with faculty and students engaging across multiple disciplines.We also offer MPhil and PhD programs in Interdisciplinary Policy Studies and Language, Discourse & Communication. The School hosts numerous research initiatives supported by funding bodies (ESRC, AHRC) and major foundations (Wellcome, Leverhulme, Nuffield).
