Complete your training in just one year through our PGCE Secondary Science (Physics) program. We'll equip you with the academic knowledge, professional abilities, and practical skills required to become a skilled and self-assured physics teacher. Your Personal Tutor will provide ongoing support whenever you face challenges or need guidance. Mastering lesson preparation, classroom management, and various instructional approaches will prove essential for your teaching career. Gain insights from our specialists, then implement your learning during school placements. Throughout your practical training, you'll design, deliver, and evaluate physics lessons with guidance from your school mentor. We'll support you continuously as you progress toward leading your own classroom. Upon graduation, you'll be prepared to spark students' curiosity about scientific phenomena while helping them develop hands-on and critical thinking skills. Completing this program qualifies you for Qualified Teacher Status recommendation. With QTS, you'll earn a minimum starting salary of £31,650 (or higher in London) as a teacher in England, with potential earnings up to £41,333 for seasoned educators.
A degree equivalent to UK first-class or second-class honours (2:2 or above) in a relevant subject. Other subjects may be considered if you have an A Level in a relevant subject (or equivalent qualification). GCSE English Language or English Literature and GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or Grade 4 or above (or equivalent qualification) Satisfactory levels of information and communications technology competence A commitment to, and understanding of, secondary education, demonstrating the personal attributes, values and motivation required to train as a teacher.
