The Department of Philosophy boasts a vibrant and growing community of postgraduate scholars. Our faculty covers an extensive array of philosophical disciplines, spanning from existential phenomenology to gender studies, and from ontological inquiries to economic philosophy. Additionally, we proudly house the Centre for Humanities Engaging Science and Society (CHESS). Graduate students actively participate in diverse initiatives such as discussion circles, academic seminars, and Eidos gatherings - our dynamic postgraduate philosophy association. Annually, we organize various academic events featuring workshops, prominent conferences, and lectures by distinguished thinkers including Noam Chomsky, Kit Fine, and Peter Singer. The department welcomes a steady flow of visiting scholars, fostering an energetic environment for both teaching and research. Prospective students can explore our faculty directory, research focus areas, and current student profiles to identify potential research topics and academic advisors.
