The School provides exceptional support for MA, MPhil, and PhD research students, offering specialized workshops tailored to their needs. With supervisors maintaining manageable teaching commitments, they can dedicate ample time to guiding research projects. We foster a collaborative environment where research students become integral members of an academic community rather than working alone. Our program boasts impressive completion rates, with numerous alumni securing prominent roles in academia and government globally. Doctoral research frequently leads to publications, either as solo works by graduates or collaborative papers with supervisors. Full-time students typically need to reside in Durham during academic terms.
