Overview
Digital Forensics focuses on detecting, documenting, and addressing security incidents. This program teaches you to collect, examine, and present digital evidence while developing technical expertise to uncover electronic traces of cybercrime.
Curriculum content draws from research conducted at DMU's Cyber Technology Institute, ensuring you explore current, industry-relevant subjects like cryptography, criminal justice challenges, and network forensics throughout your studies.
Foundational modules provide essential skills, including instruction in the powerful C programming language and investigations into computer systems and networks. Specialized digital forensics modules cover areas such as Windows Forensics, Linux Security, and Software/Security Management. Throughout the course, you'll utilize equipment and software commonly employed by forensic professionals in law enforcement and digital investigations.
Duration: Three years full-time, four years including placement
