Corporate taxation has sparked significant public and political debate in recent times, with concerns raised about its framework and the effectiveness of collection mechanisms in today's globalized economy. The LRC is conducting in-depth studies on corporate taxation, examining legal frameworks at national, regional, and global scales, along with tax enforcement strategies. Our research aims to eliminate loopholes in tax legislation, strengthen international tax cooperation through treaties, and develop more effective enforcement approaches using administrative, civil, and criminal procedures. The LRC directs several funded projects on tax-related crimes, including PROTAX and VIRTEU, and regularly publishes findings in top-tier journals, books, conferences, and media outlets.
