The CFCI combines our specialized knowledge in finance, economics, corporate governance, and legal studies to establish an ideal platform for investigating the interconnected and multidisciplinary aspects of modern financial and economic challenges affecting international enterprises. As a postgraduate researcher at the Centre, you'll have the chance to collaborate with our faculty, join our vibrant PhD network, and showcase your work to broad audiences. The CFCI offers numerous initiatives for our postgraduate research community, including: 1) Networking Events: frequent gatherings centered on student experiences and professional connections; 2) Seminar Programs: biweekly or weekly sessions featuring talks by members, international scholars, and guest presenters; and 3) Focused Training Sessions: specialized workshops covering topics like quantitative research methods and technical software proficiency.

As global economic integration increases, tourism has emerged as a key sector worldwide (now representing more than 10% of global GDP). Consequently, tourism-driven economic policies and factors influencing travel patterns have gained significant attention among policymakers and researchers. A notable focus within this field involves strategies for revitalizing tourism in regions recovering from conflict, drawing lessons from Northern Ireland's successful recovery efforts.

Qualification Requirements

A minimum of a 2-1 first degree in a relevant discipline subject area with a minimum 60 percent mark in the project element or equivalent with a minimum 60 percent overall module average. In the event of a first degree classification of less than 2-1 a Masters Degree in a relevant subject area will be considered as an equivalent. The Masters must have been attained with minimum overall marks at merit level 60 percent In addition the dissertation or equivalent element in the Masters must also have been attained with a minimum mark of merit level 60 percent. Or higher where stipulated against a specific opportunity.
