You can pursue your research degree in the Division of Cancer and Genetics. Our research aims to benefit patients dealing with cancer and genetic disorders. The program's focus is advancing research to help patients with cancer and inherited conditions in Wales and internationally. The research follows a translational pathway, spanning from basic science to preclinical testing of new treatments, including early and late-stage clinical trials. Our translational work emphasizes the genetic and molecular foundations of human diseases, particularly cancer. The Division offers specialized knowledge and resources for studying human genetics, disease mechanisms, cancer biomarkers, innovative treatments for various cancers, metastasis, cancer immunology, and cancer cell biology.

Full-time program durations: PhD 3-4 years, MD 2 years, MPhil 1 year

Qualification Requirements

Applicants should possess a minimum of an upper second class Honours degree, master's degree, or equivalent in a relevant subject.
In some cases, a medical degree and/or relevant professional qualifications or experience are required.

TOEFL (iBT) - At least 90 with minimum scores of 17 for writing, 17 for listening, 18 for reading and 20 for speaking
