We integrate cutting-edge healthcare education, top-tier patient services, groundbreaking research, and state-of-the-art clinical facilities to cultivate exceptional optometrists. Modern optometrists serve as independent eye care professionals who directly enhance patients' vision and ocular health. They operate across varied healthcare environments including community practices, hospitals, and home visits, working with patients to evaluate, diagnose, treat, and manage visual system disorders. As eye care rapidly advances, licensed optometrists can pursue specialized training in numerous clinical specialties. Many contemporary optometrists independently prescribe ocular medications and serve as crucial members of eye health teams. Our program prepares you to confidently handle diverse optical and medical eye conditions, while offering unique clinical experiences in our university-run specialty eye clinics staffed by expert multidisciplinary teams.
