Today's engineering challenges demand expertise across multiple disciplines. Companies now look for engineers who possess wide-ranging knowledge and proficiency in several core engineering fields. Our Integrated Engineering program combines elements of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and manufacturing engineering. Graduates emerge as highly capable engineers: their comprehensive understanding enables seamless collaboration with specialists from all engineering backgrounds in diverse team settings. The curriculum also emphasizes the business context of engineering, covering economics, management, and legal aspects. Opting for the four-year MEng provides a faster pathway to Chartered Engineer certification compared to the three-year BEng. The advanced years deepen your expertise through enhanced design and management training, equipping you with skills to lead complex engineering projects. A unique feature of this MEng Integrated Engineering (International) program includes studying abroad for one semester at one of our 65+ partner universities across four continents.
Career opportunities - Recent data shows 95% of our graduates secured employment or continued education within six months of completing their studies. Alumni hold prominent roles at industry leaders including Halcrow, Atkins, BP, BAE Systems, and Rolls Royce, as well as in government agencies and global organizations like GlaxoSmithKline. Cardiff's strong industry connections, built through research collaborations and placement programs, provide students with exceptional networking opportunities in areas ranging from energy policy to advanced materials development.
