The Brunel Automotive Engineering MEng offers aspiring automobile engineers an additional year of specialized study to enhance their expertise, broaden their capabilities, and accelerate their path to chartered engineer status. Similar to our Automobile Engineering BEng program, you'll establish a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, covering mathematics, engineering science, design, and comprehensive understanding of modern and emerging automotive technologies. The curriculum explores every facet of automotive development and production, from vehicle design and performance to powertrain systems, materials engineering, structural integrity, and safety features. You'll gain practical experience addressing real-world engineering challenges that emerge during vehicle development and testing phases.
Career prospects
Choosing the sandwich course option includes a paid industrial placement year where you'll apply academic knowledge in professional settings. Numerous students secure permanent positions with their placement employers.
