The Master of Engineering (MEng) program allows you to tailor your studies through various specialization options while fulfilling the academic criteria to qualify as a Chartered Engineer. The optional industry placement year offers valuable hands-on experience while maintaining departmental support from Sussex.
Sussex University conducts cutting-edge research that enhances your learning experience. Our Dynamics, Control and Vehicle Research Group alongside the Thermo-Fluid Mechanics Research Center pioneer advancements in vehicle systems and energy-efficient aero-engine technologies.
You'll learn in our advanced Future Technologies Labs, equipped with computer workstations and modern automation/robotics resources. Our specialized manufacturing lab features industry-standard equipment including CNC machines and 3D printers. The curriculum offers specialization opportunities in areas like CAD and computational fluid dynamics through elective modules. Practical projects, including Formula Student and wind-powered vehicle initiatives, let you explore domains such as control systems, vibration analysis, tribology, and aerodynamics.
