Our Faculty of Media & Communication provides diverse PhD research opportunities spanning multiple disciplines including legal studies, digital animation, media production, historical research, political science, English literature, communications, and journalism. The faculty comprises seven specialized research centers: the Centre for Excellence in Media Practice (CEMP), the Narrative, Culture and Community Research Centre, the Centre for Comparative Politics and Media Research, the Centre for Intellectual Property Policy & Management (CIPPM), the Experimental Media Research Centre (EMERGE), the National Research Centre for Computer Animation, and the Centre for the Study of Conflict, Emotion and Social Justice. Our research initiatives directly support Bournemouth University's 2025 strategic goals, focusing on creating tangible societal and economic benefits while addressing global challenges through innovative scholarship.
