Our LLM in International Law integrates diverse aspects of international legal studies, allowing you to thoroughly analyze how international law functions in human rights and business law contexts. This program approaches international law with a foundational philosophy of delivering a well-organized curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with practical application, preparing graduates to effectively interact with international organizations through their comprehensive understanding of global legal systems.
Furthermore, our LLM program offers the chance to develop new skills or enhance those acquired during undergraduate studies - improving career prospects in legal fields and creating a pathway for advanced doctoral research.
You'll examine and critically assess key elements of international law, covering essential concepts, core values, fundamental principles, regulatory frameworks, and major institutional structures. The program also develops your ability to assess intricate legal matters, articulate sophisticated concepts, and apply versatile professional skills.
Students can opt for a practical placement instead of a dissertation. We also host dynamic student-run Legal, Mooting, and Debate Societies.
Our Mooting Society ranks among England's top performers, with students reaching five national finals in recent years and consistently outperforming teams from elite universities.
The university also operates a Pro-Bono Unit, led by both faculty and students, which offers legal assistance to community members.
