Our MA in European History provides an opportunity to study within a department celebrated for its global reputation across various European historical fields, encompassing British, German, French, Italian, Balkan, Russian, and Eastern European studies, alongside international, transnational, global, and comparative historical viewpoints.

This program integrates these diverse areas while introducing innovative methods for examining European history from the Early Modern era to contemporary times. You'll gain insight into pivotal discussions that have influenced Europe's interpretation and master essential historical and methodological techniques for critically assessing Europe's past. Instead of imposing a singular definition of 'Europe'—whether geographic, ideological, or otherwise—the course emphasizes the varied contexts through which Europe's history and present can be examined.

Start Date: October 2024 Duration: One year, Start Date: January 2025
