The Doctor of Philosophy degree is conferred upon individuals who have thoroughly examined and assessed an authorized subject, thereby producing a unique and autonomous addition to scholarly knowledge. The dissertation must include a substantial research, creative, or analytical element that merits publication in whole or in part. Candidates are required to exhibit proficiency in research methodologies relevant to their chosen discipline. Typically, the thesis length ranges from 40,000 to 80,000 words, varying by academic field and research focus.
