At Bath Spa University, writing is our passion and our favorite topic of conversation. In our workshops, you'll meet lifelong friends who share your desire to immerse themselves in a world of imaginative, creative, and experimental writing. Our distinctive campus, nestled amidst wildlife and stunning 18th-century landscapes, provides the ideal setting for creative inspiration. You might explore nature writing or uncover poems and stories sparked by climate change and environmental concerns. Today's creative writing spans diverse forms—digital and print, collaborative and individual. Our extensive program covers prose fiction, young adult literature, flash fiction, poetry, scriptwriting for stage and screen, as well as life writing and memoirs.
No matter what genre you wish to pursue, we offer opportunities to develop it. Our curriculum includes courses on graphic novels and comics, alongside live literature, creative business skills, and professional development modules to advance your career. You'll also get to work on joint creative ventures with fellow students, both within and beyond the Creative Writing program.

Qualification Requirements
A Level - grades BBB-BCC including a Grade B in English or a related subject.
BTEC Extended Diploma grades from Distinction Distinction Merit (DDM) to Distinction Merit Merit (DMM) in any subject. Applicants will need to demonstrate a strong interest in Creative Writing in their personal statement and may be asked to provide a piece of their own creative writing.
T Levels grade Merit preferred in a relevant subject.
International Baccalaureate a minimum of 32 points are required with a minimum of grade 5 in English at Higher Level.
IELTS 6.0 - for visa nationals, with a minimum score of IELTS 5.5 in each element.
TOEFL iBT- A total of 72, to include a minimum 18 in Reading, 17 in Listening, 20 in Speaking, and 17 in Writing.
