Lancaster's Fine Art and Creative Writing program is delivered collaboratively by the Lancaster Institute for the Contemporary Arts (LICA) and the English and Creative Writing Department. The Creative Writing curriculum is led by published authors through a mix of lectures, literary readings, practical exercises, and tutor-guided workshop discussions. First-year students take an Introduction to Creative Writing course, followed by specialized genre options in subsequent years, including Short Story Craft, Poetic Composition, or Nonfiction Writing.
